Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas, Inc.

Thank you for your interest volunteering with Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas, Inc. ("WRNT”). WRNT is a Texas non-profit corporation which operates to rescue homeless, abandoned, neglected and abused Weimaraners, rehabilitate them and place them in new homes. Volunteers with a variety of skills are needed.

Please take the time to complete this Application and Agreement. After we review your information, a volunteer will contact to discuss your availability to volunteer, and the activities in which you have expressed interest.

Volunteer Agreement
In consideration of this opportunity to volunteer, I agree to the following terms and conditions, intending to be legally bound by them:

  1. I will abide by the mission, rules, regulations, policies and programs of WRNT while I am a volunteer.
  2. If I stop being a volunteer for WRNT for any reason, or upon WRNT’s request at any time, I will promptly return all of WRNT’s supplies, equipment, records, moneys, and other items in good, clean condition.
  3. I assume the risks of being bitten, scratched, injured, or frightened by cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in connection with my volunteer work for WRNT. WRNT is not liable to me for any injuries, damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, costs or expenses whatsoever, which I might suffer or sustain in connection with the performance of my volunteer activities for WRNT, unless they are the result of WRNT’s gross negligence or intentional misconduct. I will indemnify, defend and hold WRNT harmless from and against any claims, lawsuits, injuries, damages, losses, costs or expenses whatsoever, sustained by any companion animal or any person in connection with my intentional misconduct or grossly negligent performance of volunteer activities for WRNT, or my breach of WRNT's rules, regulations, policies and programs.
  4. I agree that, if I become a foster home for WRNT, including short-term fostering for any length of time, that I will use the crate provided (or my own crate, if such an arrangement has been made) to safely contain the dog within my home when I am away from home for work or any other reason.
  5. I agree that, if I become a foster home for WRNT, that I will keep any dog I am fostering on leash, or inside my home, or in my safely gated/locked yard at all times, that I will keep his/her collar on them at all times and that I will soak their food in water prior to feeding them for 20-30 minutes to avoid bloat.
  6. I understand and agree that WRNT may refuse volunteer applications for any reason.
  7. If I will be sheltering or providing foster care or boarding any of WRNT’s animals in my home or business, I consent to WRNT visiting my home or business from time to time to observe the animals and their living quarters.
  8. I agree to allow the removal from my home of any dog I am fostering at any time at the discretion of the Foster Home Coordinator for WRNT or any Board member of WRNT, and understand that foster dogs may be moved to another foster situation if deemed necessary at any time.
  9. I have accurately and truthfully completed this Volunteer Application and Agreement.
  10. Any modification to this Agreement must be in writing signed by both parties. This Agreement is binding upon WRNT, me, and WRNT’s and my respective heirs, successors, assigns, executors, and personal representatives.
